I'm sorry to begin like this,
but this issue, I can't dismiss.
My mind is telling me to quit
believing what my heart tells it;
It tells me that our love is what we both outgrew...
So if you're sorry, please know that I'm sorry, too.

I'm sorry no one taught you to
put those you love ahead of you.
I'm always looking out for us,
but your feelings, you won't discuss...
And this is how the story always seems to go.
So if you're asking me to stay, I'm sorry, No.

I'm sorry for the disbelief,
but our story has not been brief;
And after all, you can't defend
a situation that must end.
So I don't think that I can do it anymore...
And so there is the last thing that I'm sorry for.
