About

I'm a poet by nature and aspiring novelist and story-teller. I was born in Colorado in 1984, and raised in central Texas, and have been writing as long as I can remember (around 20 years). I am now back on the western slope of Colorado (and have been since 2002), and live with my roommate and friend, Matthew, and my three cats: Shakespeare, Nimbus, and Pip.

My former roommate and "wife", and our two children (Ethan and Jane), now live in Kansas, USA, and I miss them very much.

I work few and small retail shifts and night shifts barbacking and cooking at a local restaurant and bar to make ends meet, and work on my craft as much as possible in between.

My poetry is mostly emotionally charged and honest, like me, and I also enjoy exploring fiction in an array of genres.

Besides writing, I enjoy spending free time with my many friends and family, in-person or online, and love reading books, and getting lost in quality television and film. I am also an activist for the end of Cannabis prohibition, focusing mainly on its many medicinal benefits and bad reputation (caused mostly by false propaganda) by sharing opinion-free science-based facts and articles (and occasional sarcasm) on Facebook, intended to promote education on (rather than endorse) this mislabeled plant.

Find and follow the real me on Facebook, where I also run pages for Koda and K. Michael, my horror-writing alter-ego. You can also follow profiles on Twitter. Peace and love to all!
